I trust your 2024 started well; I wish you a fantastic year.
This last January 3rd, I left for Gabon, Africa, and went to the jungle to a Bwiti Missoko village.
It was not a retreat or an organized group; I went alone, introduced by my friend Yann Guignon, founder of Blessings of the Forest. Yann opened the door and watched over me. Blessings of the Forest and Yann do not offer such experiences; it was an exception.
I spent two weeks with an ancestral African group, the Bwiti Missoko, known as the most traditional, untouched Bwiti lineage.
They maintained their rituals unchanged, originating from the Pygmy, which were absolutely identical from generation to generation as descendants of the Stone Age...
Expansion to Central Africa by the ancestors of African Pygmies most likely occurred before 130,000 years ago, and certainly before 60,000 years ago.[17] A common belief is that African Pygmies are the direct descendants of Late Stone Age hunter-gatherer peoples of the central African rainforest. - Wikipedia
I went through their entire initiation, as they have always initiated throughout history, and trained their people without any arrangement, exception, or skipped ritual.
During the initiation, I learned ancient practices working with many plants and animals and beautiful songs and dances.
I got to “meet” the spirit and stay for about ten days with what they call “the sacred wood,” Iboga in its natural form and power, away from cities, clinics, or modern laboratories.
I have nothing against science and clinics; if you’re interested in recent research, Stanford released very positive research on Iboga a few weeks ago.
See: Psychoactive drug ibogaine effectively treats traumatic brain injury in special ops military vets and Magnesium–ibogaine therapy in veterans with traumatic brain injuries.
I just wanted to meet the spirit of Iboga the way it’s always been done thousands of years ago.
I wanted the most original, ancestral, and natural experience. I wanted to hear nature speak directly to me without human modification.
We are not used to calling this knowledge a technology, but it was extremely advanced and powerful for me. It felt like I witnessed the hidden and secret work of a pyramid-builder's level ancient civilization.
I have had incredible experiences, and I am grateful for all of them and those who shared them with me in the past. This is likely the most powerful experience of my entire life.
I feel fantastic and very grounded; it feels like a rebirth.
The impact on me has been so strong that I decided to archive all the posts of this newsletter and end the paid subscriptions (I refunded those who had paid for the year ahead). Thank you for your support if you previously paid a subscription. Paid subscriptions are now deactivated.
“What is sacred is secret, and what is secret is sacred.”
I will keep writing here, free.
I cannot share any details of any rituals, but I might share a bit at my pace what I can and how they transformed me.
I will also start writing again about other topics, returning to the material world.
Talk to you very soon and best wishes!
So glad this was such a power and positive experience for you Loic. I really hope you'll continue to share your experiences and your wisdom. I've found them incredibly inspiring and helpful and I know others have as well. I hope you'll unarchive them as I think they really provide a lot of insights and benefits and can help people see how to responsibly navigate this work. Anyway, just a though and big hug to you regardless.
