Thanks Loic for the good reminder yesterday on twitter!
It was a timely reminder I needed : )
I was just having a conversation about the misguided idea that happiness is just one “breakthrough” away. This article inspired the discussion: https://open.substack.com/pub/askpolly/p/im-broke-and-mostly-friendless-and?r=odmk&utm_medium=ios&utm_campaign=post
It’s something I’ve been working on. Recognizing the urge to fix myself, and sit with whatever feelings of shame come up without looking at it as something that needs to be changed or removed.
Re: community, it’s clear that the communities that are available to us in western society lack the depth and connectivity that indigenous tribes have. Especially with the decline of religion. Would be curious to hear more about what you think we can learn from indigenous to make our communities more meaningful.
Beautifully expressed, Loic 🙏🏻
