3 days in a Castle with the Witches of Europe exploring non-human (sentient) beings
Hello “inner-circle”, this is how I will call you, my “subscribers behind a paywall” I find it much more elegant and it expresses a bit how I feel, I care. One of my three sons and some best friends are already among you so it is definitely special.
I feel I should write differently here, like a new beginning. There are 52 of you as I write this (thanks!). Writing is a muscle I train every day, I have noticed that the more I write and the more I have ideas to write about.
52 is a special number, it’s the number of cards in a standard deck and even more special it’s the number of weeks in a year. I immediately think about how significant is one year in many spiritual traditions like the Maya calendar. Even if you aren’t “spiritual” (check-out the hilarious song “I’m more spiritual than you” if you don’t know it) 52 weeks is how much separates your birthday from your previous and future birthday so it’s quite important for all of us.
I have been thinking about how to adapt my writing to this new smaller group (the newsletter has 15k subscribers) and what comes to mind immediately is “more intimate”. Even though I am imagining this number will grow so will the total number so it will always be “way more intimate”.
I decided to write here as if I was (and I am) writing to my best friends.
The content I write for this group is also behind a pay wall (in a few lines when I get to the witches) so Google won’t catch-it which feels safer for me us to express more intimate or more difficult things to write about. I can share my weirdest experiences there! Sounds fun? Let’s do it.
I will set the comments “for subscribers only” so hopefully you can also comment feeling safe(r).
Here is the paywall, now let’s talk about European Witches! The first one I met and write about here is Amanda Feilding who took almost a full dose of LSD almost every single day of her life!
Fasten your seat belts, let’s go to the Broughton Hall Castle in the U.K.
