Disqus is one of the coolest startup around

Disqus has just announced a site and wordpress plugin redesign. I am a fan of Disqus and CEO and co-founder Daniel Ha, they execute fast, well and listen to their community all the time. I have installed Disqus on my two blogs (this one and the french one where I post less and less these days) very early as they released the commenting system and I never regretted. It's fast, it's inline and it reduced my comment spam almost to zero. The feature I like the best is clearly the reply by email, if you are mobile you get the comment by email and if you reply to that email it posts the comment back on the blog exactly where it should be in the thread. Simple, but very cool. Disqus is very focused and I just love it. You could charge for your service guys, I would totally pay a monthly fee. Disqus also integrated Seesmic video comments so if you use Disqus, it will take you less than a minute to activate them.

Now what I would really like is to integrate the Friendfeed comments about my blog posts back on my blog in the Disqus comments, I know Daniel is working on this. Getting the conversation back where it should be. Keep rocking!

I had interviewed Daniel Ha in April this year if you want to learn more.

About

Welcome to my blog. Based in San Francisco, I am an entrepreneur and a blogger. I just started my fifth startup, Seesmic, a community driven video social software. Here is what TechCrunch says about it.

I am blogging every day a video on loic.tv about (almost) everything I do as I start Seesmic, I also constantly post short thoughts to twitter and often my pictures on Flickr.

I also organize every year in Paris the conference LeWeb3 that gathers more than a thousand bloggers and entrepreneurs from 40 countries on Dec 11 and 12.

If you would like to learn more, here is a bio, my LinkedIn profile, my wikipedia pages in english and french. Sometimes they are subject to changes that do not always reflect what I consider the truth but that is the principle.

You may also want to subscribe to my RSS feeds in English, French or my video podcast feed.
