Spanish blogger condemned for comments on his blog
Julio Alonso, friend of mine and one of the best known spanish bloggers has been condemned by Spanish Court for hosting comments on his blog. He "has been found guilty and condemned to pay a fine of €9,000, plus legal costs. The sentence condemns Julio, alleging that 22 comments posted by other users on his blog had damaged the 'honour' of SGAE (a Spanish organisation which defends the rights of Authors and Publishers and was founded over one hundred years ago). Luckily though, Alonso still has the right to appeal against this sentence".
Of course Julio will appeal but that really sucks big time. See Julio's original post in spanish.
