New version of Seesmic just pushed !

As always based on our community feedback (thank you all), we have just pushed a new version of Seesmic with:

1. direct private or public videos to users
you can now send a confidential or direct videos to any user (if you put @username in the description it also works) and keep track of your replies in teh new inbox timeline that has your direct videos and your conversation replies

2. video profiles
you can now add video profile videos to introduce yourselves, they will be available for anybody to know you better

3. fast friends discovery an add friends
by browsing anybody's following / followers list you can now clic on a magnifying glass and directly access any member's profile and add him/her as a friend from there. Very fast to add friends.

4. we now support most world languages in an improved interface
you can now post tagging your video under any language. You can also filter the timeline by selecting any of these languages as default (for example if you want only videos in Japanese and Dutch) and Seesmic now keeps the settings when you logout/login again

5. mp4 download of your own videos
you can now download any of your own videos as an mp4 files to view them offline, edit them or send them as an attachment.

update on the download: we just took it down (this feature only) to check a few things. Will be back soon.

We also did minor changes in the timelines.

About

Welcome to my blog. Based in San Francisco, I am an entrepreneur and a blogger. I just started my fifth startup, Seesmic, a community driven video social software. Here is what TechCrunch says about it.

I am blogging every day a video on loic.tv about (almost) everything I do as I start Seesmic, I also constantly post short thoughts to twitter and often my pictures on Flickr.

I also organize every year in Paris the conference LeWeb3 that gathers more than a thousand bloggers and entrepreneurs from 40 countries on Dec 11 and 12.

If you would like to learn more, here is a bio, my LinkedIn profile, my wikipedia pages in english and french. Sometimes they are subject to changes that do not always reflect what I consider the truth but that is the principle.

You may also want to subscribe to my RSS feeds in English, French or my video podcast feed.
