Singapore Government is so cool, need to get them on Seesmic

@cervus pointed me to the below YouTube video of the Media Development Authority of the Singapore Government advising me to contact them and try to get them on Seesmic. Makes total sense would love it and if anybody knows someone there (of if the mda reads me who knows one day with the social software magic...) would love to partner and grow Seesmic in Singapore...

This is really cool, I wish the French Government would also use video like this and push new media as something strategic. Will tell a few friends there !

Shamelessly groveling for a Seesmic invite. I see huge potential in real estate blogging / networking.

hey Loic,

That is indeed a very interesting video.

You probably know Jeremiah (www.web-strategist.com.com) already, he might know something about Singapore or who to contact there. But in case you don't know him, he use to work with Scoble at PodTech, so he can get introduced via Scoble.

We can get them to do some of those raps on Seesmic! :-)

Loic and I have exchanged emails, he knows how to get a hold of me! I can make some introductions around, but I don't have any direct connections.

Hi Loic,

I am Director of eBusiness in SingTel (Telco) and work with MDA & IDA.

Drop me a line and we can go from there.

Government of Singapore has several venture capital companies so you may be able to reach the group you want through that route.

"Singapore government is cool" !

It is definitely a good thing, Loïc, that you dediced to quit politics. Be aware of the exact nature of the Singaporean govt: accoring to The Economist Intelligence Unit, it is neither a democracy nor even a flawed democracy, but a hybrid of authoritarian regime and democracy. It ranks behind Mongolia, Albania and El Salvador on criteria such as pluralism and civil liberties.

Take care, Loïc

About

Welcome to my blog. Based in San Francisco, I am an entrepreneur and a blogger. I just started my fifth startup, Seesmic, a community driven video social software. Here is what TechCrunch says about it.

I am blogging every day a video on loic.tv about (almost) everything I do as I start Seesmic, I also constantly post short thoughts to twitter and often my pictures on Flickr.

I also organize every year in Paris the conference LeWeb3 that gathers more than a thousand bloggers and entrepreneurs from 40 countries on Dec 11 and 12.

If you would like to learn more, here is a bio, my LinkedIn profile, my wikipedia pages in english and french. Sometimes they are subject to changes that do not always reflect what I consider the truth but that is the principle.

You may also want to subscribe to my RSS feeds in English, French or my video podcast feed.
