Re: Video reviews by Bloggers

I think doing reviews such as this one are fine as long as:

1. you disclose full details of what you received when you provide a review (as you did in this video re: your flight); and

2. you are not prevented from giving a negative review if the experience is really negative.

I also felt that the review itself could have been more direct.

For example, while I was watching the review, I was wondering if you would use that airline again in the future if *you* had to be the one paying for it. I couldn't tell one way or another based only on what you said.

So from my standpoint as a viewer, it wasn't a review in the real sense of the word; it was more an awareness thing -- a "Did you know about this company?"

Finally, I noticed that you did not provide any links to the company, nor did you include their name in the text of your blog post. Was that a conscious decision on your part? Just curious. :-)

It's too bad I read this late. I hope you had a chance to go to Wilkes Bashford next to Union Square. It is the premier store in San Francisco. You could have picked yourself up a nice Brioni suit and a pair of Bontoni shoes. maybe next time!
