Al Gore and Hans Rosling speech online on TEDTalks, a must-see

The two best talks I have ever seen at TED and probably in all the conferences I went were Al Gore's on the future of our planet and Hans Rosling's on globalization and how we should welcome it. Both speeches changed my "worldview" and are now available on TEDTalks. Hans Rosling pushes us to think as world citizens who should be happy about the fact that so many countries and world citizens get a descent level of living even though it means often some job losses in our "rich" countries. Must see. If you haven't I really advise you to see both. Congrats to TED for sharing that with all of us.

Comcast Technician gets asleep visiting a customer

It's highly likely you have already seen this video, if you haven't watch this great customer service, it's been viewed until now 272 201times and has about 300 comments... Thanks, Carol!

Original video description: "A Comcast technician came to replace a faulty modem. After spending an hour on hold with Comcast's central office, he fell asleep on my couch. I've been in my apartment for three weeks and my internet connection is still non-functional. This is my tribute to Comcast, their low quality technology and their poor customer service."

So long, Madrid

Waya invited me yesterday to speak at the Instituto de Empresa in Madrid, one of the leading MBAs in Europe. As always, I enjoyed talking about entrepreneurship with the students and meeting you all. Followed by a great evening with Waya et Martin (gracias!), this short trip reminded me how much I love spain. I have always felt like home in Spain, the fact that my mother is spanish explains most of it I guess, I love spain, I would easily move there and learn spanish again. Enrique Dans has blogged in spanish most of what I said. Was good to see you all, see you soon again and good luck to the students for their future entrepreneurial experiences. Enrique, you blog faster than me on your Blackberry !

Google had invited me to speak at Google Zeitgest Europe and just sent me the video of my rant, thanks again, Sandrine and all the Google team. Note: I started by a mistake saying most of our 15 million blogs are paying, I meant "many of them", apologies I was under light stress in front of such an audience of a few hundred european personalities and speaking just before Peter Gabriel ;-)

About

Welcome to my blog. Based in San Francisco, I am an entrepreneur and a blogger. I just started my fifth startup, Seesmic, a community driven video social software. Here is what TechCrunch says about it.

I am blogging every day a video on loic.tv about (almost) everything I do as I start Seesmic, I also constantly post short thoughts to twitter and often my pictures on Flickr.

I also organize every year in Paris the conference LeWeb3 that gathers more than a thousand bloggers and entrepreneurs from 40 countries on Dec 11 and 12.

If you would like to learn more, here is a bio, my LinkedIn profile, my wikipedia pages in english and french. Sometimes they are subject to changes that do not always reflect what I consider the truth but that is the principle.

You may also want to subscribe to my RSS feeds in English, French or my video podcast feed.
