In German in Swiss newspapers

Unfortunately I do not understand German, can you help me get what it says ? Thanks in advance...

Les médias devront se préoccuper, tôt ou tard, du phémomène [blog]. C'est du moins le sens du message de Loïc Le Meur. A l'occasion d'une discussion, dans le cadre du WEF de Davos, sur la relation entre les médias et les weblogs, l'entrepreneur français a présenté la thèse selon laquelle les blogs auront la même influence sur les médias que Napster a eu sur le monde de la musique.

Journalismus oder nicht?

Wie in neuen Medien üblich, ist der Grad an Selbstreferenzialität bei Web-logs extrem hoch. Viele Blogger - so die Bezeichnung für jemanden, der ein Weblog betreibt - versuchen sich in der Definition ihrer Aktivität. Eine grosse Frage, die immer wieder auftaucht, ist die Beziehung zum traditionellen Journalismus. Der St. Galler Michael Genova, der unter der Adresse www.dienstraum.com Fundstücke und Meinungen zur Medienwelt veröffentlicht, hat dazu eine klare Haltung: «Die Inhalte (von Weblogs, Red.) sind oft Meinungen, Essays, Links zu interessanten Sites und Artikeln. Weblogs sind zum Vornherein ganz etwas anderes als Journalismus in den traditionellen Medien.»

Journalism or not?
As normally in new media, the degree of self-referenality of Weblogs is very high. Many bloggers try to give a definition of what they are doing. A question that reappears often is the relationship with traditional media. Michael Genova from St. Gallen, who publishes his opinions and found pieces about the media world, states it clearly: „The content of Weblogs are opinions, essays, links to interesting sites and articles. Weblogs are from the beginning something completely different than journalism in traditional media.“
